BIM Operator

We are currently seeking applications from Building Information Modeling Operators to join a high profile team based in Canberra that specialise in design of critical Electrical and ICT systems across Defence, Electrical, Security, IT and Lighting projects. The successful candidate will have a proven track record with the use of Revit.

This is a great opportunity to work across a diverse range of projects across both Defence and Commercial sectors. In this role you will directly support engineers and senior BIM staff to deliver detailing building services BIM models.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain detailed building services BIM models for various projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance with design specifications and standards.
• Perform clash detection and resolve issues identified during the design process.
• Maintain project documentation and update models based on feedback and changes throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure adherence to industry standards, best practices, and company protocols.

Prerequisites:

• Proficiency in modelling or technical drafting using Revit. (Essential)
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and Excel.
• Ability to interpret and apply design concepts and technical standards.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Excellent attention to detail, time-management, and organisational skills.
• Ability to travel to various work sites – C class drivers license
• Australian citizen.

Due to the nature of this project candidates must hold Australian Citizenship and be eligible for a AGSVA clearance. Candidates with a current or reactivatable NV1 or NV2 clearance are encouraged to apply.
